Beverly Cleary
Beverly Cleary was born on April 12, 1916 in McMinville, Oregon. In 1940, she married Clarence T. Cleary. Soon after that, she wrote her 1st book, Henry Huggins, which was published in 1950. Her first book based on Ramona's family was published in 1955. The Cleary's had 2 kids, twins named Malcom and Marrienne. Her husband died in 2004. Beverly Cleary lives in California and is still writing.
